Doug reached out to me a week before their vacation to Siesta Key Beach after finding my Longboat Key surprise proposal session online. He booked me right away and then I (im)patiently waited for him to contact me again. I absolutely love photographing proposals but the lead up feels so weird! I have to wait for the person to reach out to me so we don’t get caught! When we figured out our plan, I knew it would work perfectly and holy crap, it did.

So my boyfriend Aaron and I got to the beach before them and just hung out. Doug, his soon-to-be fiancé and their 2 friends made their way out to the beach and sat RIGHT next to us. Aaron and I walked out to the water with my camera, pretending to take photos and as we made our way back Aaron walked up to them and said directly to Kristyn (lol), “would you mind taking our photo? She takes all the photos but we don’t have one together” (I made him do it cause I was too nervous and thinking about how bright the sun was) Kristyn immediately popped up and took our photo while Doug got down on one knee directly behind her. After she said yes, Aaron & I enjoyed a glass of bubbly with them and congratulated them. It was pretty perfect and they were all so, so nice. Congrats Doug & Kristyn!  Enjoy! 🖤
